    South Eastern Railway expands programme of daytime inspections for improved maintenance

    • A small number of timetable changes on four routes across Kent will take place off-peak, within school hours on weekdays, over a six-month period.
    • This will give railway workers more time in-between trains to carry out a greater number of maintenance inspections in daylight hours, which helps to improve their efficiency and supports better performance.
    • Customers are being advised to plan ahead and check journey planners before they travel.

    Highspeed fleet upgrade on the right track

    • The last of the Class 395 highspeed trains to receive its interior refresh has re-entered passenger service.
