    Southeastern announces major step towards multi-million-pound improvement in Metro train fleet

    • Southeastern is inviting the rail industry to provide new or upgraded trains for Metro services.
    • Current fleet provides more than 900 services and tens of thousands of journeys every day between parts of Kent and south-east and central London.
    • This could be the largest investment in the Southeastern network since the introduction of the highspeed service in 2009.
