    Big train meets little train - a Railway 200 encounter

    • Southeastern and Hornby jointly unveil the new Railway 200 Class 395 ‘Javelin’ highspeed train
    • 395015 carries a specially designed Railway 200 graphic and is also the first in the fleet to receive the new highspeed livery
    • Unveiling held at Margate railway station – the home of Hornby – and attended by local businesses and attractions that have benefited from highspeed rail
    • Investment in the fleet has helped to drive a post-pandemic record of just over 15 million journeys on domestic high-speed services in the last financial year

    Southeastern introduces timetable boost from May with newer trains and more carriages to support a growing railway

    • A new and improved timetable starting from Sunday 18 May will add extra capacity to provide more space on the busiest services
    • More of the newer Class 377 Electrostar trains are coming in to improve the customer experience.

    BLACKHEATH: Rail passengers asked to plan ahead as further 10-week closure means train journeys will change

    SET/NR Alliance release: Passengers in south-east London have been asked to plan ahead from Sunday 18 May to Sunday 27 July 2025 as the Blackheath tunnel, between Blackheath and Charlton will close as Network Rail begins £10 million of essential repairs to the 175-year-old Victorian-era structure.

    Southeastern unveils the Railway 200 Networker – as part of year long celebration of rail’s past, present and future

    • The iconic ‘Network SouthEast’ livery has been restored on a Southeastern Networker train
    • The train has been named ‘Chris Green’ in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the railway we know today
    • Train painting and special event delivered in partnership between Southeastern, Angel Trains, Wabtec, Network SouthEast Friends and Network Rail
    • The train will remain on the Southeastern network and will be used in regular passenger service as well as for charity rail tours and other Railway 200 events

    Southeastern launches new parking system for simpler and easier ways to pay

    • Changes to parking payment options introduced from Monday 24th February
    • This means parking at Southeastern stations will be quicker and easier as customers no longer need to return to their vehicle to 'pay and display' their ticket
