On the World Day for Cultural Diversity a plaque has been unveiled at Brixton railway station marking the restoration of some of the earliest sculptural representations of black British people in the UK.

• The last of the Class 395 highspeed trains to receive its interior refresh has re-entered passenger service.
• This completes the first phase of a £27m upgrade that saw all 29 trains fitted with new carpets, new seats, energy-efficient LED lighting, and at-seat USB charge points.
