Southeastern supports community vaccination drive at Sevenoaks

Southeastern supports community vaccination drive at Sevenoaks: Elliott Waters Southestern Station Manager and NHS organiser Steve Davidsen

  • Car park made available in arrangement with NHS until further notice

Rail operator Southeastern is supporting the Covid vaccination campaign at Sevenoaks by making space available in its station car park for drivers giving lifts to the elderly and vulnerable arriving for their jabs - and for volunteers and staff.

Station car parks are mostly empty because people are heeding government lockdown advice to stay at home where possible. They are also often well situated in the heart of their communities and well-suited as somewhere to park or wait.

Southeastern has arranged for Car Park 4 at Sevenoaks station to be open free of charge to those receiving vaccinations and their accompanying drivers whilst vaccinations take place, which varies each week. This arrangement has been made with the NHS until further notice.

Elliott Waters, Station Manager for Southeastern at Sevenoaks said:

“Our whole team has been working throughout this pandemic to support our local communities, and keep services clean, safe and operating. We are delighted to provide practical support to this crucial mass vaccination effort.”
