No Southeastern train services during planned strike action on Saturday 26 November

No Southeastern train services during planned strike action on Saturday 26 November: Southeastern-55

  • Southeastern train services suspended during strike action on Saturday 26 November
  • Normal services will resume on Sunday 27 November, including in the early morning

Southeastern will not be able to run any train services during the planned strike action by ASLEF on Saturday 26 November.

Scott Brightwell, Southeastern Operations and Safety Director, said:

“If this strike goes ahead there’ll be significant disruption. We’re unable to run any Southeastern trains on Saturday 26 November. However, we’re expecting to run a normal service on Sunday 27 November, except for any planned engineering work on our network. We recognise the inconvenience this causes and offer our sincere apologies.”

Southeastern understands the need to keep its customers informed and the most up to date information is available on their dedicated strike page:

The page also provides information on how to claim a refund for those customers who have already bought a ticket.

Ticketing and refunds

  • If previous strike action affected your travel plans, please visit our strike refund page for more information.
  • If you did not/could not make your outward journey because of strike action, you can have a refund on your outward and return ticket even if the latter was not affected by strike action. The same applies if your return journey was affected, but your outward journey was not.
  • If you have a Season Ticket that is monthly or longer or have an activated days’ worth of travel on a Flexi Season ticket, you can claim compensation for the days when we were unable to run a full service, Saturday 5 and Monday 7 November. • You can request a fee-free change of journey for all ticket types if the train was cancelled or delayed, or rescheduled from that in the published timetable of the day, after you have purchased a ticket.
  • Season ticket holders (Flexi, monthly or longer) can use Delay Repay to claim a day travel back if they choose not to travel on strike days. For a full day back, you only need to make one claim per day of strike action, making sure to select the reason for delay as ‘Industrial Action – did not travel'. For Flexi ticket holders, to receive Delay Repay you must have activated a pass for the day you're claiming.
  • Weekly tickets – Make sure that a weekly season ticket is the best value for you if you are unable to travel during strike action. Check you’ve bought the best value ticket for your journey using our handy season ticket calculator. Weekly season tickets purchased from Southeastern which have not started yet can be refunded minus a £10 admin fee. Please go to our refunds page to claim a refund.
