Lower prices with ‘Flexi Season’ deal for part-time commuters on Southeastern extended

Lower prices with ‘Flexi Season’ deal for part-time commuters on Southeastern extended: Penge-Tunnel-1024x548

  • Special promotional price for travel from more than 40 stations in Kent and East Sussex stations continues until 14 October
  • Flexible Season ticket aimed at workers travelling to work at least two days a week

Southeastern is encouraging flexible workers who travel twice a week to the office or workplace to buy a Flexi Season ticket and save up to 40% off a comparable day return for travel every day with special promotional prices now available until 14 October at selected stations.

Flexi Season ticket holders can travel on the train of their choice at any time on a day simply by activating a Flexi Pass in the Southeastern app making it quick and convenient to hop on a train when you need to: the special rate is available for a trial period at 45 stations in Kent and East Sussex.

Simon Byatt, Southeastern’s Head of Retail Strategy said:

“Commuting patterns have changed in the last few years and we understand that people are trying to make their money go further. For people commuting two or three days a week, our Flexi Seasons offer better value for money than buying multiple peak time fares.

“We recommend customers check our Season Ticket calculator on the Southeastern website to see whether the new Flexi Season deal suits their travel habits”.

“Southeastern is working with the wider rail industry to simplify fares and develop new products that better match how our customers want to travel.”

Flexi Seasons were launched by the Department for Transport in June 2021 to give commuters the freedom and flexibility to divide their time between working from home and the office, giving commuters eight days of travel in 28 days – at any time - between two stations.
