Further strike action is due to take place across the Southeastern network on Saturday 26 August, Friday 1 September and Saturday 2 September.
Scott Brightwell, Operations and Safety Director for Southeastern, said:
“We’re sorry to our customers for the disruption that this strike action will cause.
“If you’re travelling on Saturday 26 August or Saturday 2 September, expect some disruption, please plan ahead and check your entire journey. Timetables are available on our website now.
"The trains that are running will be busier and are likely to start later and finish earlier, and you may be unable to board trains at stations where a limited service is running, especially on the first few trains in the morning.
"Unfortunately, no trains can run on Friday 1 September, and you’ll be unable to travel.”
Ticketing
Customers with Advance, Anytime or Off-Peak tickets for travel on a strike day can instead use their ticket on an alternative date:
- Tickets for Saturday 26 August can be used on the day before the date on the ticket or up to and including Tuesday 29 August
- Tickets for Friday 1 or Saturday 2 September can be used on Thursday 31 August or up to and including Tuesday 5 September
- Tickets for a journey that includes the London Underground will not be valid on London Underground services on an alternative date
- Customers can claim a full refund with no admin fee for their unused ticket (other than season ticket), if they decide not to travel because the train they intended to use is cancelled, delayed or rescheduled after they purchased your ticket.
- Customers can request a fee-free change of journey or cash refund for all ticket types (other than season ticket) if the train was cancelled or delayed or rescheduled from that in the published timetable of the day after you have purchased a ticket.
- Customers who didn’t/couldn't make their outward journey because of strike action can have a refund on their outward and return ticket (other than season ticket) even if the latter is not affected by strike action. The same applies if the return journey is affected, but the outward journey is not.
- Customers with an Advance ticket can either apply for a full refund with no admin fee if the train that the ticket is booked for is cancelled, delayed or rescheduled or return it to the original retailer for an e-Voucher, for use purchasing a future ticket. e-Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. If customers have two Advance tickets (an outbound and a return), to be used as a return journey, and either of the legs is on a strike day and the train is cancelled, delayed or rescheduled, customers can claim a fee-free refund or change of journey for any unused legs / tickets.
- Season ticket holders (Flexi, monthly or longer) can use Delay Repay to claim a day of travel back if they don’t travel on strike days. For a full day back, season ticket holders only need to make one claim per day of strike action, making sure to select the reason for delay as 'Industrial Action – did not travel'. For Flexi ticket holders, to receive Delay Repay customers must have activated a pass for the day they are claiming.
- Weekly Season ticket holders cannot be compensated for strike dates announced at least two weeks beforehand, but customers can claim Delay Repay if their train is delayed or cancelled on the day.
- When trains are running, customers who travelled and were delayed for 15 minutes or more are entitled to Delay Repay compensation.
