  • Busiest trains to coast between 10:30-13:30 and returning between 16:00-19:00
  • ‘Crowdbuster’ train on standby between Faversham and Ramsgate, with longer weekday trains from Victoria to Ramsgate
  • Extra staff on hand to help keep you safe and secure

With warmer weather expected tomorrow, Southeastern is providing more carriages on trains towards the coast.

Trains towards the coast can be busier between 10:30 and 13:30, and returning between 16:00 to 19:00, so avoid these times if you can. Our most popular destinations are Margate, Hastings, Broadstairs, Folkestone, Herne Bay, Whitstable and St Leonards-on-Sea.

Once on board you’ll find that fresh air flows through all of our trains from air conditioning, vents or windows that you can open if you need to.

To help your journey go as smoothly as possible:

  • We’ll have a ‘crowdbuster’ train on stand-by between Faversham and Ramsgate
  • Longer weekday trains are also running from Victoria to Ramsgate
  • Extra staff are on hand to help keep you safe and secure.

There may be one-way systems and queuing arrangements at the busiest stations, including at Margate and Hastings, so remember to bring a bottle of water and leave plenty of time for your journey. And of course, remember to wear a face covering when travelling on public transport, in trains and at stations.

Use our handy SeatFinder tool to find the quietest trains, and find out more at southeasternrailway.co.uk/summer-weather, or by following us on Twitter @SE_Railway.
