The event kicks off with the World Para Athletics Championships on Friday 14 July, with the last events on Sunday 23 July, and is followed by the IAAF World Championships on Friday 4 August, finishing on Sunday 13 August. With a number of people expected to attend, Southeastern is advising supporters to travel outside of its already busy peak services.
London St Pancras, Ebbsfleet International and Stratford International are likely to be much busier than normal with people travelling from Kent and London to get to Stratford. Southeastern, which runs 2000 trains a day, will be providing additional services during the Championships but urges passengers to check before they travel as trains will be much busier than normal and there may be queuing systems in place at some of our busier stations.
With high temperatures likely to stay, do remember to carry water with you when travelling and to avoid the queues buy our best priced tickets in advance from any ticket office or online.
