Bigjigs launches wooden toy replica of Southeastern's high speed train

Southeastern’s train refresh reaches the half way point

Southeastern's Class 375 fleet are undergoing a mid life refresh and this project has recently reached the half way point. 65 train units out of 112 have been completed. The trains run on routes between coastal Kent and central London, have been returned to action, with new carpets and lino, replacement windows and new seat bases. Each train takes around three weeks to refit.

In the last 12 months, passenger journeys on high speed services between St Pancras International and Stratford International have increased by 72 percent. Train operating company Southeastern and Transport for London (TfL) put the phenomenal rise down to the July 2015 introduction of Pay As You Go with Oyster and contactless payment systems at the Southeastern managed platforms.
